The former coach of the Argentine taekwondo team, Carlos Filippa, was sentenced Tuesday to four years in prison for distributing sexually explicit photos and videos with children and adolescents, the Buenos Aires prosecutor’s office reported.
A court in the Argentine capital handed down a sentence for the crimes of “production, distribution, dissemination and/or possession of child sexual exploitation material”involving minors between the ages of 13 and 17.
Already sentenced to eight months in prison in the past
Filippa, 67, has been in detention since December 2019, following another court sentence, this time to eight years in prison, for sexually abusing a 15-year-old student, according to the statement.
He was coach of the albiceleste taekwondo team in the 90s.
